Mandarin Channel Marketing Specialist
Location: Australia (Sydney preferred) – Remote / Hybrid Work Option Available
Employment Type: Part-time / Full-time (Initially part-time (20-25 hours/week) with potential to scale to full-time based on candidate expertise.

About the Role
We are looking for a Mandarin Channel Marketing Specialist to develop, execute, and optimise marketing strategies targeting Mandarin-speaking audiences in Australia. The ideal candidate will be a native Mandarin speaker with excellent English communication skills, a deep understanding of Mandarin-language digital and offline marketing channels, and experience
driving customer engagement and growth. This role requires strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and strong analytical skills to maximise brand presence and market reach.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing strategies tailored for Mandarin-speaking audiences in Australia.
- Manage end-to-end marketing campaigns across WeChat, Xiaohongshu (RED) and other relevant platforms (Douyin, Baidu, Weibo).
- Drive content marketing initiatives, community engagement, and customer acquisition through Mandarin-language digital and offline channels.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across all
platforms. - Develop and execute influencer and KOL (Key Opinion Leader) marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and credibility.
- Plan and oversee online and offline events, partnerships, and sponsorships targeting Mandarin-speaking communities.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance, customer insights, and ROI to optimise future marketing efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging marketing technologies in Mandarin-speaking markets.
Key Requirements
- Native Mandarin speaker with excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Ideally a certified translator and/or has strong copywriting and content creation
experience for Mandarin audiences. - At least 3 years of proven experience in marketing, digital marketing, or channel
marketing with a focus on Mandarin-speaking audiences. - Strong knowledge of Mandarin-language social media, digital marketing platforms, and community engagement strategies.
- Experience running campaigns on WeChat, Xiaohongshu. Knowledge of Douyin, Baidu, and other relevant platforms is a plus.
- Understanding of Australian market dynamics and cultural nuances of Mandarin-speaking communities.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive marketing decisions.
- Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid work environment.
- Experience managing budgets, agencies, and external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience working in B2C or B2B marketing and sales.
- Knowledge of SEO/SEM strategies for Mandarin-language search engines like Baidu is a plus.
- Strong project management and multitasking abilities.
