Cats have a nose for adventure, they hunt, climb, squish into tiny places, jump from the top of doors, set sail from the highest of places and all whilst our hearts are racing. Our crazy mischief makers are descendants from the greatest of hunters and their instincts run high.
We say they have nine lives, though within that they too are prone to accidents and Illnesses just like any other living creature. They can develop cancers, diabetes, feline immunodeficiency virus, feline leukaemia, just to mention a few. Then there are the accidents, cuts, bruises, broken bones, not to mention cats love to hide in warm places – the merry dance of risk they lead is frightening at times.
Our Cat Insurance is there for those times when the unexpected happens.

Our purpose is to make Australian pets the healthiest and happiest in the world.
It’s common for cats to require veterinary attention at some point in their lives, and the severity and cost of such care can be unpredictable. Our Cat Insurance is designed to provide extensive coverage for unexpected injuries and illnesses your cat may face.
We offer extensive plans for cat insurance, catering to cats living with you in Australia. We prioritise your pet’s well-being and don’t impose sub-limits, ensuring they have access to veterinary treatment whenever they need it most.
Certain cat breeds are considered dangerous or banned in Australia, and we don’t provide coverage for such breeds. If your cats breed falls under this category after purchasing or renewing the policy, they will no longer be eligible, and we will send you a notice of non-renewal before the expiration of your current Period of Insurance.
Moreover, cats engaged in commercial or sporting activities, such as breeding, working, fighting, racing, personal protection, gun sports, law enforcement, or guarding, are not eligible for coverage. However, there are exceptions, and we do provide cover for pets engaged in specific activities like show cats, etc.
Check if your cat is eligible here.
As a pet owner, it’s important to have the freedom to choose the veterinarian or specialist that you trust the most for your pet’s healthcare needs. With our Cat Insurance, you have the flexibility to select any licensed veterinary professional, giving you the peace of mind that your pet is receiving the highest quality of care.
Vet means a registered veterinarian, veterinary specialist, animal hospital, animal clinic or animal surgery licensed in Australia (or in New Zealand or Norfolk Island in respect of cover under Section 5: Vet Costs – Overseas).
With our Cat Insurance, you get the advantage of Lifetime Cover, which means there are no age limits once you have insurance. However, there are specific age criteria for starting the cat insurance policy. When purchasing a new Policy, the minimum age for entry is 6 weeks old and the maximum age for entry is 8 years and 364 days old.
At Knose, we are dedicated to providing straightforward and accessible cat insurance. Our goal is to keep our Cat Insurance simple and flexible to suit your unique needs. You can choose from various Annual Limits of $7,500, $12,500, or $25,000, and Benefit Percentages of 70%, 80%, or 90%.
Additionally, we offer three Annual Excess options, namely $200, $100, or $0. With Knose, you won’t encounter any sub-limits, ensuring extensive coverage for your furry companions without unnecessary complications.
